Approaches to Migraine Management Seminar – Thurles, Co. Tipperary

The Migraine Association of Ireland is delighted to announce that it will be holding a free public Approaches to Migraine Management Seminar in Thurles, Co. Tipperary on Thursday the 1st of February 2018.
CNS Jane Melling, Migraine expert and specialist nurse from the Dublin Neurological Institute (Mater Hosp) will hold a presentation on the symptoms of different types of migraines with treatment options – both medical and complementary that are available to sufferers. She will also advise on patient self management to prevent triggering attacks.
This will be followed by a presentation from Eileen Hopkins, herself an RGN/RCN (Registered General/Children’s Nurse) and Professional Life Coach. Eileen will speak about self management for persistent pain among other things and will talk about lifestyle issues surrounding migraine and chronic pain disorders.
There will be a Q&A session following the presentation where attendees will be offered the opportunity to ask questions of both the speakers. Staff from the MAI will also be there to answer other questions and provide leaflets.
There will also be stands representing various complementary treatments for migraine, with plenty of time to explore them and ask questions of the representatives present. Stands will represent Natural Supplements, Yoga, Acupuncture, Nutrition, etc and will be there throughout the event.
The seminar will take place on Thursday the 1st of February from 7 – 9 pm in the Anner Hotel, Thurles, Co. Tipperary
