It is important that you know exactly what we do with the personal information that you and others provide us, why we gather it and what it means to you. Preservation of your privacy is important to us and we are committed to letting you know how we use your personal information and to making only responsible use of your data.

1.1   We collect personal information from you when you enquire about our activities, ring or email for migraine support and advice, register as a member with us or subscribe to one of our services. This may include your name, title, email address, physical address, personal health data (the nature of your migraine condition) and telephone numbers.

2.1   Your personal information will only be used to process the requests you have consented to and to provide services related to that consent only i.e. if you registered for the ezine we will only send you the ezine unless you have also consented to being contacted regarding other services e.g fundraising, upcoming events. If you have shared personal health data with us and have consented to sharing that data with the migraine nurse or other health professional we will only share that data with consented party and we will ensure that data is kept secure and destroyed within one week of your query being dealt with.

2.2   We may share your information with other third parties in order to carry out our services effectively. For example in order to receive the ezine you must be held on a database stored in Mailchimp. You will be informed if we share your personal data with a third party if it applies to the service you signed up for and we promise not to share your personal data with any other third parties or marketing companies if you have not consented to do so.

2.3  We will hold your data as long as you remain subscribed to the service or subject to legislation and regulatory rules we must follow. Personal Health Data will be destroyed when the query has been dealt with and answered or within one week of same.

3.1   We will take reasonable precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of information you give us.

3.2   Communications in connection with this service may be sent by e-mail.
