STATEMENT OF GUIDING PRINCIPLES FOR FUNDRAISING

Read full statement here.

The Statement of Guiding Principles for Fundraising has been drawn up by charity fundraising practitioners and donors and has been reviewed by legal, accounting and other related professionals.

The introduction of standards by the charities' fundraising sector is an important act in its own right and provides an opportunity to build capacity within individual charities and in the wider charities' fundraising sector.

The Statement offers donors and potential donors clarity on what they may expect from the charity, its representatives (whether voluntary or paid) and its management.

The Statement offers a set of overarching principles and guidance about how fundraising should be approached and organised. It thereby complements and builds on the existing legal framework within which all charities operate.

To comply with the Statement, the Migraine Association of Ireland has drawn up the below documents outlining our commitment to transparent fundraising:

Public Compliance Statement

Committment to Standards in Fundraising Practice

Disclosure Statement

Donor Charter

Feedback and Complaints Procedure

Elder Abuse Policy
